The Ungrateful Bastards in the Corporate Keep

Some people are simply ungrateful. Yet no one holds this tittle in history more times then the defending champions of greed and hypocrisy: Corporate America.

So it’s just another day for me in my designated living quarters. A shower and a shave, light breakfast and a general avoidance of the morning programming that is piped into my humble domicile. In the morning I avoid the latte-fueled, human interest fluff that comes courtesy of local and network TV and go straight for the hard stuff, a strong dose of Google News, Huffington Post and my headline feed reader that includes the top stories of every major news organization from Faux News to MSNBC, from Variety to the BBC. Every morning the woes of the world stream directly through my cerebral cortex like a fever-pitched dream. Often, I wish it was.

The number one theme these days is the unbelievable ungratefulness of American Business. It really is amazing how the international corporate order is maintained at the expense of the tax payers, who preserved the status-quo, keeping their failed selves in firm command. Despite their failure, they still felt good enough about their enormous profits (which also came at the expense of the underclasses) they paid themselves these great big bonuses with tax-payer money. Yet they somehow feel like victims. Have you heard this? Did you hear the HEDGEFUND MANAGER that chastised Obama for beating up the business world like a pinata? Oh I feel your pain. Apparently the FOX owned Wall Street Journal does too, which is constantly telling me how Obama is bad for me because he wants to return the Capital Gains and Dividend taxes back to the way it was under Clinton. Did you know that O’bama passed a law that makes health insurance companies cover pre-existing illnesses? Did you know that this is going to cost your insurance portfolio a whopping 5%?! The sky is falling now that Huessain bin Obama has his designs on investing in mass transit that will improve business but require the Bush tax-cuts to expire? WHAT A TYRANT! I mean the man should be impeached!!!!

You know, I have little sympathy for these goons. They remind me a lot of promoters of big parties. They have a huge party with an expensive ticket price, yet the real party is in the VIP area, which I can’t get into. From outside, I can see carnival rides, circus acts, free drinks and plush places to sit, yet all the while they cry about the lack of Crystal. However this is even worse. It’s like they were handing out free massages, drugs and complimentary escorts with vigor and whining about the people staring at them from outside the cyclone fence. Maybe it would be best if us poor middle-class folks, that actually work for a living, eat some cake?

Oh poor rich pinatas. You try and you try and you try to screw over the underclasses and yet we do not love you! Can I send you guys my tears in the mail? Perhaps you can turn it into a profit?

Sound absurd? Well you couldn’t be more wrong. Apparently this is big business.

It’s called the Tea Party.

Today, as I was reading an annoying article about how the Tea Party, an unofficial rag-tag group of misfits that have taken the Republican primaries by storm are set to win, perhaps, as much as half the elections they are running in, I left this comment that was NOT APPROVED!!!

Most of these tea beggars are establishment Republicans like Bachman, failed former candidates like O’Donnell, second tier Republicans like Angle, CEOs and TARP beneficiaries like Fiorina and hateful morons like Paladino. They often take advantage of the same government programs they claim are unconstitutional like Miller (Farm subsidies, govt. health care, unemployment) and often have very questionable pasts and say really stupid things.

So they’re basically just as bad as the last bum crop of Republicans only these guys are the rejects that are benefiting from blind and misguided anger.

No matter how much things change they always stay the same. Conservatives will always be able to divide the country by convincing a handful of idiots that giving away their own power to billionaires is somehow the white, middle-class, Christian thing to do. The rest of the country is repulsed in apathy and old man Rupert gets his tax cut.

Another victory for the Oligarchy! While the real issues of this country are lost in a flood of corporate funding that is drowning our freedom in an irresistible wave of greed.

Many say the Tea Party is stupid, not for the rich folks that finance it. They actually convinced some sad, bitter Americans that not only is the Bush recession really Obama’s fault, despite the overwhelming facts, they convinced these people to hand over power to the very same people that caused the recession. Oh and I don’t mean Republicans, I mean the millionaires and CEOs. Genius!

After the election though, the Tea-baggers usefulness will be spent, then, it’s curtains for the movement.

I expected this to be approved by the Huffington Post but I guess it was “too real” lol. No, seriously, not sure what is going on there. They did approve this comment to some guy gloating about an NPR poll that showed the Tea Baggers on course to victory:

“NPR got 2006 totally wrong, so don’t go enjoying your tea bags just yet.

Over-enthusiasm is a common killer in elections, trends are moving against the GOP. Rasmussen and other conservative poll companies have been flooding the market with poorly designed polls that have been proven to exclude Democratic audiences (check the pollster section here on HuffPo for this story).

and last but not least…

Reagan, your avatar {no seriously, this guy used that stupid Reagan Country picture as his identiry} , ironically, was CRUSHED in 1982. Obama is tracking almost identically to the “Gipper”. Does that mean that if the economy continues to improve that he will likely be elected? Good chance.

Besides, what are the merry band of idiots and fanatics going to do, God forbide, they actually have to govern again? The GOP has proven that they are absolutely corrupt and incompetent when it comes to governing, so your lot is pretty much headed to the slaughter house in 2012, especially with candidates that are headed for ethics investigations, even before they are elected and a near certain season of deadlock.

No sir, your lot pretty much has to sweep the election to maintain credibility, that includes the Senate. Anything less will be seen as a missed opportunity and a sign of weakness.

So, enjoy your tea.”

This WAS approved, yet our beloved Reagan-loving fiend had no words for me. It is not uncommon for such a thing to happen, though I get this feeling deep down inside my gut that he/she knows I’m right. That this person’s greatest fear is that the woes of the world could suddenly become the the woes of the GOP and anything less then a knockout (ie: a TKO) would appear to be a pathetic display of a party that is far more detested than the President, who enjoys pretty decent numbers for a guy handling 2 wars and a recession that was hemorrhaging jobs at a monthly rate that encompassed the entire 1981 recession! I think we really do have to break out the “D” word. THIS IS A DEPRESSION!!!

The fact is, that Reagan raised taxes on the middle-class, through payroll and other measures as a down payment on his deficit inducing handout to the upper-classes. Welfare to the rich. What a patriot! The Founding Fathers would be proud!

Reagan was the beginning of the end for this country. When the rich and the elite somehow were more important then the rest of us. It was the beginning of phony patriotism that could be sold to the average idiot in a nice neat package that gave tax-breaks for the billionaires disguised as stimulus.

NO, what we need to do is revert to a PROGRESSIVE TAX SYSTEM and take the money that rich folk make and invest in the useless stock market and put in the PEOPLE’S MARKET, I mean, the actual market. America became great because of this system. Under Republican and American hero Eisenhower, the tax on millionaires was at a whopping 91%! That is too high, though you really need to understand that it has nothing to do with punishing the poor, poor rich people, it has to do with keeping the money in the economy. Rich folk, they save their money, invest some and spend less. So when the rich get richer, they destroy Capitalism. That is exactly why pure capitalism simply does not work.

Yes indeed, another day in this life, trying to fight the great hypocrisies of our time, to no avail.
