The Dam is Breaking – Scott McClellan’s Defection

As any reader here at Soapblox knows, this site has been devoted to the fight against this nation’s potentially worst President in history, loser George W. Bush. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that we comment on the current Scot McClellan debacle, especially since it has become an amazing example of how poisonous the Bush Administration has become politically and a potential legal back-door to trying the future ex-Commander-in-Chief, or any of his partners, for war-crimes.

McClellan is no ally of Progressives and Lefties. Any Progressive should make strong note of this fact. Meet the Press and the other Sunday shows speak of McClellan being embraced by “Left-Wing” bloggers as if we were the British embracing Benedict Arnold. While this is obvi However, it serves to make us rational minded speakers look like opportunists. You have to remember my fellow Progressives, that followers of political happenings live in a bubble. This. While he was a less effective Press Secretary than his predecessor, Ari Fleisher, he perpetuated the very media narrative game that he now is so upset about. He perpetuated failed war policies, defended the CIA leak, buried the truth behind a wall of lies. So many lies, in fact, that he could possibly be an innocent bystander. No, on the contrary, he must have know how foul and infectious the garbage he was regurgitating actually was.

That’s what makes this new message so damning. He was not a Clinton carry-over like Richard Clarke or a prized reporter from the media like Bob Woodward who also wrote highly critical books. He’s not an outsider like Collin Powell or a former employee of his father like Skowcroft who have come on the record as being critical. No, this is a man who followed the corrupt flock from its Texas origins. He worked for Ari Fleisher as a staffer and earned his way to the top tier post.
