Mitt is handicapped on diplomacy

Mitt the Twit

There is nothing wrong with being critical of the President, however there are some very obvious exceptions. One of those exceptions, and it is a very big one, is when America is attacked. Attacking the President, practically before he’s even had a chance to respond, is cowardly and should be seen for what it is: a cheap way to score political points. Romney dived headlong into something not even his most radical right-wing of allies did.

Mitt is handicapped on diplomacy

Willard seems to know very little about diplomacy.

When an attack happens, so many things are going on, much of it beyond the public’s knowledge. Much is kept secret and much that is not is not yet been learned by the media. Romney is not in a position to know anything we don’t. So when he attacks, and by all accounts, deliberately misleads what we do know, it is even beyond an act of cowardice, it is an act that gives comfort to American enemies by creating doubts in the President’s ability to respond. When all is said and done or even a week or two from now, or if Romney simply was critical of the President on domestic issues, this would be perfectly fine. Yet by injecting himself into this issue, for no good reason, he hurts all Americans.

Shame on Romney!

These days, the Right is attacking the President for everything and using the Left’s tactics during the Bush years as justification. This is a false equivalency, as we on the Left may have attacked Bush on foreign policy, we kept our mouths shut after 9-11 or other attacks and Bush benefited from this for months. Sure there were radicals who did not keep their mouths shut, yet that is a far cry from anyone important in the Democratic Party, let alone the candidate for the Presidency.

The fact is that what Clinton said is true, for the most part: I’ve never learned to hate them the way they hate us. I’ve been to Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona among other states where Republicans dominate the debate and hating liberals is like a sport. Many of these people were nice to me, that is, until I mentioned politics, which I did with caution. It really is different. Though I must say, once you’ve seen the true ire of your opponents, many tend to lean towards hate, so righties beware! What we need is this country is to stop seeing the U.S. as “US and Them” and begin to see it once more as WE THE PEOPLE.

States like California pump billions into the system and do not get back what we pay, while states like South Carolina take over 20 Billion in subsidies. We in the blue states don’t mind paying for their roads and bridges, though we do resent it when these states start calling California Greece and blame us for our spending. How does the saying go? Don’t through stones in glass houses.

The Republican party needs to awaken to the spirit that made this country great. If they don’t, they will inevitably be seen as un-American, a title they truly deserve now. Perhaps if they did, Romney, trying to buy their love so strongly, wouldn’t have over-tried to hate Obama. I can seem him now, ‘isn’t that what they want me to do?’

A bridge too far ol’ Mittins, a bridge too far!
