Paul Krugman Files for Bankruptcy in Brietbart, Conservative’s Dreams

It seems proud liberal and Nobel Prize winning economist has a little trouble with his own finances, running up massive debts with his lavish tastes and extravagance. I always knew that Krugman was a wild one. The endless tales of Krugman’s late night champagne and vegan appetizer dinner parties where he and is fellow communists plot the overthrow of everything American and holy and Biblical and Jesusy, occupied by Hollywood’s most liberal, wealthy, elitist, anti-job creator elites, clothed in the latest designs from Socialist Europe are almost as legendary as his late night, drug fueled binges in the NYC Club Scene, rampaging all around town in a Limo from the Limelight to the Meat Packing District. The man, the myth, the Krugman, dressed in tailored suits, puffing on a Cuban, his lavish pad once featured on MTV’s Cribs, decked from marble tile to tacky painted fresco ceilings with row after row of fine art and gaudy self-gratifying Grecco-Roman busts of his own features… no more!

Or is it? These Legends are legendary in the fact that they do not exist. What makes the very notion of Krugman being an all out binger in any shape or form so funny, is that he’s a pretty plain and simple guy, who has professed to being largely, a lone man, working until the job is done and then working some more, rarely socializing.

Yet that didn’t stop Breitbart.com from posting this story, which has now been taken off their website:

Paul Krugman, the economic darling of the left, has filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy protection, according to Boston.com. Krugman has been the leading advocate for increased deficit spending as the only solution to turn the US economy around. He believes that President Obama needs to be even bolder with continued trillion dollar stimulus programs driving our nation deeper and deeper into debt. Apparently this Keynesian thing doesn’t really work on the micro level.

These guys were creaming their pants, perhaps a little pre-maturely. I know that taking down a Nobel Prize Liberal Keynesian economist who has worked tirelessly for decades to point out the hoax that is conservative economics would be a notch in their belts, but come on! Get a life, fight with the facts, not mud.

They further told tall tales of Krugman’s lavish spending. Apparently, Krugman got into massive credit card debt, “after racking up $84,000 in a single month on his American Express black card in pursuit of rare Portuguese wines and 19th century English cloth.”

Brietbart.com attributed the story to Boston.com, yet their site only had a brief from a blog, The Prudent Investor, that re posted it from an Austrian magazine, Format, that nabbed it from satirical news magazine, The Daily Currant, who posted on their site, in German, mind you “the truth of the message accordingly low.” Perhaps a task beyond for a reader yet so basic for someone who claims to be a journalist, it’s near criminal. It’s like a lawyer citing a fake case in court, and then getting called on it.

Just the words “The Daily Currant” in German alone should have set them off, but I’ll get into that later. Their current headline reads “Sarah Palin to replace Elizabeth Hasselbeck on The View”

Funnier still, Krugman learned of the story himself from a Russian reporter before Brietbart.com’s posting. When the reporter learned the story was fake, he felt “very embarrassed”, yet Krugman kept it to himself, deliberately letting it soak in to the moronosphere for an unsuspecting right-wing media outlet to jump on the gloating wagon and fall for the hoax before common sense took hold.

“OK, I’m an evil person — and my scheming has paid off,” says Krugman.

Justice, perhaps, for the unethical Brietbart.com, a notorious right-wing radical site that is constantly scheming in dirty closets to deliberately ruin people they despise, in the tradition of Nixon’s Dirty Tricksters. Better still, that it comes from the proudly Liberal Krugman, who’s Conscious of a Liberal column at the New York Times is both widely respected by the Left and the biggest reason the Right hates the New York Times. Even more iconic is that this is the 2nd time they have been embarrassingly duped by The Daily Current in 30 days!

A scandal earlier this year, on Feb. 12, also included Brietbart.com misquoting a story, again from the Daily Currant that claimed Sarah Palin landed a job at Al Jezeera! How inept do you have to be to even believe that story could be remotely true up hearing it, let alone, re-post it as “news”?!

Neo-Dirty Trickster

Neo-Dirty Trickster

Brietbart.com is the namesake of late “journalist” Andrew Brietbart, who contibuted to launching The Huffington Post and devolved into a sleaze merchant before his unfortunate and untimely demise. He attached his name continually to launching sleeze attacks on members of the Left, helping to launch the ACORN pimp scandal and the pictures of Anthony Weiner’s, well weiner. Both of these scandals proved to be little more than slimeball speculation, of a man who did not cheat on his wife but was lonely and a company that helped register disenfranchised voters. While the fake pimp James O’Keefe was the face behind the psuedo-journalism, it was Brietbart that launched it, without checking, that the man who supposedly was helping a pimp get government money was in fact gathering information before calling the police. A fact further proven by last week’s civil lawsuit against O’Keefe, which forces him to pay $100,000 for defacing the man’s integrity and recording him without his permission.

O'Keefe's commitment to conservative values and integrity a farce? No!

O’Keefe’s commitment to conservative values and integrity a farce? No!

So it’s good to see Brietbart’s legacy continue on without him. His commitment was strong to good website mechanics and an attention grabbing sense mixed with poor journalistic integrity and an appetite for the sensational, sleazy, pseudo-news garbage that is ruining the modern media. May his loyal band of hacks continue to prove how wrong everything they stand for actually is, posted high and wide for all to see.

As for Krugman, the New York Times launched The Krugman Times, devoted to their superstar. It’s a subscriber based digest of his articles. According to the man himself, “Funny stuff — but I can’t afford to subscribe, having bankrupted myself buying Portuguese wine and antique British cloth and all that.”
