The Franken Factor

Franken is going to beat Coleman

Franken won the Senatorial election in 2008, yet Republican strategists have signaled an endless lawsuit to further their losing Repub strategy at any cost. This of course makes sense for the weak and embattled Republican party.

At the height of Bush incompetence, Al Franken was the voice of reason. This nerdy guy may have looked like a wimp compared to the fake ass cattle rustling, urban cowboys of Republican myth-talk radio and yet, he had the balls to stand up to this very machine and tear it down every chance he could. His book “Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot…”, nailed the tub of lard literally right in the title and assaulted O’Reilly as just another “all talk” Right Wing chicken hawk.

Rush is a fucking idiot

Franken didn’t stop there. After piloting Air America to a shaky, yet successful launch, he left the network for greater goals, namely, the U.S. Senate, representing the great state of Minnesota.

Some called it a longshot, and, perhaps it almost was. Minnesotans were fed up with celebrity leaders, tired of the Jessie Venturas. How could a former Saturday Night Live writer and star gain any traction, despite his almost 20 years of open political stance?

Well Franken’s popular SNL skit character Stuart Smalley would never have the nerve to stand up to the Republican machine but Franken himself did. He was a student of Al Gore and fought his opponent Coleman with just cause, legality and intelligence.

bush cheney are chicken hawks that are destorying this nation

He put his ass on the line, becoming Air America’s flagship program, then triumphantly appeared on Letterman and Leno declaring that Air America was going nowhere! Now his ass was on the line for election, and it appears that he will win.

bush is a moron

OK, so what’s the point right?

The point is that as long as Franken is in limbo, Minnesota is left unrepresented and gives the Republican Party a filibuster at 39 minority votes as opposed to 40 (the normal standard).

Republicans will do anything to cling to what little power they have left. With Franken in limbo, they gain an extra seat. They care not for fixing this nation or solving the economic problems. These fat, white Richie-Riches are nothing more than that… isolated fear-mongers with money on the brain and no experience in the trenches of life.

It’s time for us to move on from this nonsense! Time to stand up and tell the former powers that be that they are now the powers that were. Than we step in and fix this broken mess the Republican Party has left for yet another Democratic administration to clean up.

I guess some things never change!
