Bush Booed by Baseball Buffs
– UPDATE – Baseball is Basically Bartering a Big \”Bush Being Booed\” Blackball

bush pitching a baseball as opposed to the lies he normally pitches

Today’s quick linx is brought to you by our beloved El Presidente, George W. “stands for worst” Bush, who recently attended the opening day indoctrination of the Washington National’s new stadium. While Bush stepped out on to the field, he was treated to a mixed reaction heavily dominated by loud booing. The major media virtually shunned the story, treating it like a sports story, while Obama’s low bowling score was trumpeted as the end all definition of why Obama was not a REAL man (one guy even said Obama should “stick to shooting hoops”), Liberal media my ass!

Our nation’s love of sports and hatred of politicians collided this week in what can only be called a humorous, yet somber moment for the United States.

Wow, you know your not liked when your booed at the opening pitch. I mean, by the 7th inning, enough beer has flown through the stadium to turn a polite, church going dad into a longshoreman willing to boo his own relief pitcher. Just after the national anthem however, as that same dad is flagging down the hot dog guy, his thoughts are suddenly blunted by the presence of the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES! The dad’s thoughts are likely filled with pretzels, dogs, soda for the kids and how great it is to see a game with his boy just like his ol man. Then Bush takes the field, the dad throws all that pretzely emotional mumbo jumbo out of his mind faster than a steroid loaded fast ball from Roger Clemens. Dad rises from his seat, which is not even warm, and lets loose a howling disapproval of the most esteemed public official in the land, right in front of his kids, I might add. Little Johnny didn’t see that curve ball coming, nor did little Bush.

It isn’t supposed to be like this. Presidents should be respected, especially at the nation’s “past time” right after the national anthem. It’s fitting though, especially since Bush is really not supposed to be President. They cheated their way to victory twice and stole the people’s choice to begin an all out assault on the middle class, destroying programs of good will to fund a pointless war in a pointless land, cut taxes for their buddies and pass a series of corporate welfare contracts that make the bridge to nowhere look like a noble public service. They’ve gotten away with a whole lot, that’s for sure. Yet the one thing the over confident team of hypocrites could not achieve, was being liked. Lord knows they tried, with speeches filled with nothing more than half-truths and no truths, they lied and lied and lied some more, even lying about lies they told in the past, until one day, the little boy Bush could cry wolf no longer.

This really underscores the damage Bush and his cronies have done to the United States. That’s for damn sure. People have lost faith in the system and certainly lost faith in the President. I know I have.

An update: It appears that the AP, in cahoots with Major League Baseball, has altered the sound of their latest video clip of Bush’s pitch. Compare this last clip with the Daily Show clip, which is now featured at the top of this article. The bastards DID something! This reminds me of Micheal Moore’s anti-war Oscar speech, when the reports of live telecast and audience reported a far more favorable coverage with only scattered boos coming from the upper decks. However this contradicted the overplayed and over hyped nationalist local media’s message, so they bumped up the boos with clear and obvious resound, if not for politics, for their pathetic attempt to create headlines.

As a sound engineer, I know how easy it is to manipulate sound, and I’m TELLING YOU the AP footage and MLB strategically hand picked licensed footage, have been altered to virtually wipe out the booing crowds. This is NOT difficult, especially when you have the footage archives of the AP, which can be measured in miles of video tape.

Why do they do it? It’s simple. MLB is afraid of attracting a bad element to its games, what we call protesters. The flag burning incident at a Dodgers game back in the 70s attracted bad attention to America’s pastime, and since Baseball holds that esteem, they see themselves as above politics, not a realm for the realities of the American system. As a lover of baseball, I’m a bit glad they keep this distraction penned up in fantasy, however THIS is crossing the line. You cannot change history, and all those who attempt this, like George W. Bush, find out why.

You cannot escape the truth! All buzz words, biz words and any kind of BS words may spin the truth to your advantage, however they cannot change the truth. No matter how hard you try to stare off into the sunset, the truth is always there, staring you in the face like a cow headed off to slaughter.
